Scientific studies of divorce and child custody researcher, clinician and mediator, Professor Robert Emery, Ph.D. demonstrate the astonishing long term benefits to children of families who take control of their own destiny, and attempt to work out their own agreements in child custody or divorce mediation.

These are summarized in popular terms in Dr. Emery’s recently published book, The Truth About Children and Divorce. This compelling research shows that even a modest investment of time and money (5 hours of mediation at the time of divorce) brings substantial benefits, as measured 12 years later!
